Amazing Money Saving Dupes

I found an amazing duplicate for "Urban Decay's All Nighter Long Lasting" Setting spray.
 I love Urban Decay!!
Every once in awhile it is nice to switch your products up. After awhile our skin becomes immune to the repitious products we use.
Urban Decay All Nighter Long Lasting Setting Spray
The purpose of this magic in a bottle is :
All Nighter keeps your makeup looking gorgeously just-applied for up to 16 hours – without melting, cracking, fading or settling into fine lines."- UD Website
                     Price: $30.00

Then, we have L'Oreal Infallible Makeup Extender Setting Spray. I am so in love with how well this product works. After, long shifts at work I was impressed to see that my makeup still remained in place. Only product that has ever gave me that longevity is Urban Decay "All Nighter".

L'Oreal Infallible Makeup Extender Setting Spray
               Price: $13.79

Product Description:

Keep your makeup looking fresh hours after application: no melting, fading or touch-ups necessary. This non-comodegenic makeup extender setting spray locks in your total makeup look, Face, Eyes, and Lips, preventing color from smudging or settling into fine lines for all-day staying power.

Face Mask (D.I.Y)

1 Egg (Egg White)
Small Bowl
1 Lemon
1 Mixing Spoon or Whisk
Hair Tie
Headband
Facial
Washcloth
Old Foundation Brush (optional)

Step 1: Crack the egg into your small bowl separating the egg yolk from the egg whites. You're only going to be using the egg whites, so instead of throwing them out, save your egg yolk for breakfast in the morning or for a bonus step at the end of this post!
Step 2: Cut your lemon in half and squeeze the lemon juice from both halves into the egg white mixture.
Step 3: Whisk the lemon juice and egg whites mixture until frothy.
Step 4: Tie back your hair and apply a headband to ensure no product gets into your hair.
Step 5: Apply warm water to the face to open up your pores. You may also use your facial cleanser with warm water during this step.
Step 6: Pat skin dry or let air dry and then with your fingers, foundation brush, or paint brush, begin applying the mask to your face. I prefer using a brush to ensure I coat the product evenly over my face and it's less messy this way.
Step 7: Once you have finished applying the mask, let it sit for about 20 minutes until it hardens. Your skin will feel tight and dry.
Step 8: After 20 minutes, remove the mask with warm water and pat your skin dry.

Back to School

"Kids first day back what should I do? "

Refresh yourself! It's time to spend some time on yourself.
After such a long draining summer and endless chlorine and sea side days, your hair may feel dry and briddle.

Ingredients for summer hair repair:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons apple-cider vinegar

Add vinegar into the water, add the baking soda, mix, and you’re done.

That’s it.Pour the solution over your hair. Let it simmer on your head for about 10 minutes. Rinse. Wash. WA-Laaa You're Done. The solution will pull the impurities from your hair, leaving it healthy and shiny as new.

Is your skin dehydrated and in need if some extra moisture? Sun rays and Sun screens can dry your skin out extremely fast. Some sunscreen has alcohol content which naturally causing flaky skin.
Use a body scrub during a steamy shower, I recommend:

Cucumber body scrub

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup white sugar
¾ of a cup chopped cucumber
optional, a few basil leaves
¼ cup of coconut oil

DIRECTIONS:

1. Wash the cucumber and basil and pat dry then toss in the blender, you can pre-chop or slice before blending.  Pour the sugar on top and then add in soft or liquid coconut oil. Whip until the cucumbers have broken down and you’re happy with the consistency; this took about 45 seconds to a minute in our blender. If the cucumber is chilled or cold when it goes in the blender then it may cause the coconut oil to solidify, this happened with mine and wasn’t a problem at all, yours might just look a pinch different from what is shown if the ingredients you use are all room temperature.

2. Pour into a jar that can be sealed and store in the refrigerator until ready to use. This should keep nicely for up to two weeks. Simply plan to take it out of the fridge a little bit before you will use it or you can scoop some out and put it into a shower or bath safe dish when ready to use.  If giving this as a gift, be sure to remind friends that they’ll need to keep it chilled and an eye on the shelf life because of the fresh ingredients.

*Just make sure to take extra care when using oils (like the coconut oil in this) in the bath or shower as they can make surfaces and floors slippery.

I ran by this recipe on a blog, fell totally in love. It is so easy to make and keeping this jar in the refrigerator makes a refreshing suprise in the warm shower. Cucumber is one of the most hydrating ingredients, plus coconut oil helps moisture penetrate deeper into your skin.

Lather yourself in CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion. This lotion is magic in a bottle.
Dermatologist approved not oily or greasy, leaves no residue.

D.I.Y Skincare

I love a good exfoliater, scrubbing all the old dead skin away to reveal new healthy skin. Exfoliating helps with numerous things from oil control, to pore detox also, helps brighten dull skin.

Baking soda and Water is MAGICAL! Instant smooth skin, prepped and ready got your skin care regiment.

Splash your face with water before the exfoliater.

Combine 1/4 cup of baking soda with two tablespoons of water. Mix well.

Use mixture to gently exfoliate clean, damp face. Avoid eye area and rinse well.

Flashback Makeup

One of my favorite makeup trends was the fabulous 90's. Matte nude lips, eyeliner with no eyeshadow, or the mascara running we called grunge.
If you lived in the 90's you know Pam Anderson. Big pink lips, black long lashes and smudged eyeliner. Look at the tiny brows!! Who would of guesses we would end up with such eyebrow envy. Shape is everything, it's the frame to the picture.
Oh Courtney Love, how I miss the dirty grungey lip smeared diva. Mascara running carelessly down your face and red lipstick with no boundaries. Little smudge here and there and intense pink blush. Again, where are her eyebrows?? (Haha)
Then grunge took a different bohemian vibe. Bindis and rhinestones with bare complexion plus, blood red lips. Funny how fashion always repeats itself. Twist my little buns, take me back in time! Gwen Stefani is a fashion icon from the 90's to present the woman is still flawless.
Who can forget Cindy Crawford and the great Pepsi advertisements?
I think we all wanted a mole and teased hair. Her matte nude lips and smoky eyelids are timeless, again it's still popular and Cindy hasn't aged since the 90's.

What was your favorite trend?
Don't you find it a little odd history always repeats itself?

Dupes Wednesday

Everyone knows how beautiful NARS "Orgasm" blush is. I love the peachy, pink tones and subtle gold shimmer. The price sometimes can be considered high if your on a "makeup budget." ($30)
During, one of my makeup voyages I came across Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso ($7.50). The colors are ridiculously similar, but I will say that the NARS blush does last a bit longer on the cheek. For the ridiculous price cut, I think I can deal with a little late afternoon reapplication.

Nail Trend Fall 2015

                Fall Nail Trends 2015
Fall creates the look with deep rich pigments of blacks, plum's and navy’s for the ideal nail envy manicure.

My inspiration for this Fall Season will always be the classic nude with diamonds.

Mattes are a MUST! Many nail polish lines have created a top coat to create matte texture to any glossy polish you pick.
              OPI's "Russian Navy Matte"
OPI's "Viking in Vinter Vonderland"
During, fashion week will instense ombre's rocked the show . I was highly impressed by the ones that walked in the Tom Ford Fall Collection.
Ombre' Ombre' Ombre' Ombre'! It's been a fabulous trend for a few years from hair to nails. Two nail polishes and a sponge is all you need.

Which trend will you most likely rock?

Glowing Skin

One major regret in life for me is, I did not start skincare earlier in life. I am obsessed with my skincare regiment.
When I first started I was so bamboozled on the proper steps. What order do these products go? Is it moisturizer then serum or serum before moisturizer? Do I even need serum and a moisturizer? Can one substitute the other? What's a toner?
 Let me help you :)

First, I always cleanse my face. One of my favorite face washes (hands down) has to be "Philosophy's Purity Facial Cleanser."  The milky wash that coddles as it cleanses, gently removing makeup and decongesting pores without stripping skin.
I personally switch up my cleanser during the week. My second favorite to use is Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash.
Two times a week I make sure to exfoliate. This helps cleanse out my pores and shed any dead skin.
My number one has to be DR. BRANDT SKINCARE microdermabrasion skin exfoliant.

Next, TONER!! Toners are meant cleanse faces and remove any excess makeup residue. This always helps balance the pH level in your skin also, helps control oil.  And because it is alcohol-free, this formula will not strip delicate facial skin of its own natural moisturizers.  Your skin will feel fresh and clean without tightness, dryness or stinging.
Toner dries and it is time for my amazing SERUM.
The main reason you'd want to use a facial serum is to get added nutrients into deeper layers of your skin that a regular moisturizer is not able to reach.

Algenist Retinol Firming and Lifting Serum is my number one.

Every once in awhile my skin looks and feels dull. Bliss's triple oxygen radiant protection energizing serum gives the best illumination and hydration ever.

Finally, Moisture!!
Typically, your skin soaks up moisture to keep itself young and vital, but you lose the ability to do that as you age. Most commercial face creams are oil-based and work by blocking the release of water from the skin. Fine lines come from your skin cracking due to lack of hydration. I moisturize either morning or night to avoid build up of oil.

Morning: Philosophy "renewed hope in a jar"

This product is lightly whipped and does not leave residue. Renewed Hopr helps with fine lines and pore reduction.

Night: Philosophy "Miracle Worker" Overnight

Miracle worker overnight  is a age-resetting, anti-wrinkle moisturizer that works in perfect harmony with nighttime rejuvenation cycles to help visibly reset the age of your skin. This product has a cream texture, I can feel it penetrating into deeper layers of my skin.

Hands down my all time FAV " Eye Cream is; Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm"

This rich, nourishing eye cream visibly diminishes signs of aging around the eyes, while decreasing the appearance of puffiness and dark circles.  Otherwise, known as " Magic in a Jar."

2015 Fall Makeup Trends

Wine stained lips were stomping all over the runway. Goth dark lips matched with natural fresh faces were Marc Jacobs inspiration.

Out of line Eyeliner also will be featured in all beauty ads. I'm not exactly sure how I feel about this trend yet.
However, I enjoy stepping out of the box!
Bold lines plus, bright color liners are taking risks. How daring are you?

Say goodbye to bronze chizzled cheeks, instead it's all about soft pinks and highlights.

Smoky eyes are making a deep impact to the fall season. Best tip giving for this look is blending until you think your unable to blend anymore. The intensity is still there but, it has a soft appearance instead of being harsh with lines.

It will be hard to part ways with contouring. Can't wait for the deep pigmented lipsticks to be acceptable already.
